Community Forum Series
Sustainable Novato invites you to the eighth in our series of educational Community Forums:
Climate Change, Novato Creek Watershed and You
October 1,2008
6:00-8:30 p.m
Novato Unified School District offices
1015 Seventh St., Novato
A healthy watershed is essential to the health of our community, the value of our homes and businesses, as well as the future cost and availability of water.
Sea level rise from climate change is increasing in the coming decades. The time to start addressing this is now. How much will it rise and how will it affect our properties, our children’s schools, local businesses, creek and bay recreational use?
Discover how you fit into this eco-system, whether you are a landscaper, builder, mechanic, student, fisherman, or creekside resident, home or business owner.
6:00-7:00pm: Visit county and community organizations to ask questions & gather information.
North Marin Water District, North Bay Watershed Association, Novato Sanitary District, North Bay Water Reuse Authority, Novato Disposal, Friends of Novato Creek, MCSTOPPP, the Bay Institute, among others.
7:00-8:30pm: Expert Panel Discussion followed by audience Q&A
- Will Travis, San Francisco Bay Conservation and Development Commission
- Chris Choo, Marin County Dept. Of Public Works
